My Thoughts on first aid aid and trauma kits



There is no perfect first aid kit. This is a list of suggestions for building or improving your first aid kits





Every family should have a first aid kit in their home and one that travels with them. Here are some items we keep in our kits:



Boo Boo Kit

Start with the simple stuff. you will use more bandaids out of your first aid kit Than anything else make sure it is properly stocked


Stop the Bleed/Trauma Kit

In an emergency you need to know how to do the simple actions that will help save someone's life.

Tourniquet

Bulky trauma dressing

Gauze for wound packing

Chest seal or plastic to improvise a chest seal


Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clean up stuff

Every first aid kit should have simple PPE

Non-Latex Gloves

Pocket mask

a small travel size bar of soap


Emergency Medications

Epi Pen (if you are prescribed)
